Trauma therapy and private intensives · California
Therapy for people who are done performing.
I'm a trauma therapist for gifted, neurodivergent and deeply capable adults who have spent years holding it together and are ready to stop. The work goes beyond talk, into the body and the nervous system. Weekly sessions by video across California, and private intensives for the times weekly isn't enough.
No pitch. We see whether we fit, and you can leave with a referral if we don't.

You might recognize this
You've been good at this for a long time.
You think fast, you read the room before anyone says a word, and you've made yourself useful to everyone. It worked, mostly. Then something starts to give. Sleep. A relationship. Your temper. The loop at 3 a.m. The way your body checks out of a conversation the moment it gets loud.
You can usually name exactly what's happening, and you still can't think your way out of it. That tends to mean the thinking part of you has done all it can, and the rest of the work lives in the body.
One honest note: I'm not a performance coach. I can't help you get better at the hamster wheel when you're already exhausted from running it. I can help you find out what's under the performing and what you actually want.
Ways to work together
Pick the size that fits your life right now.
Weekly therapy
$175 per 50-minute session
The steady version. We meet by video, usually weekly, and the work goes where it needs to: trauma and old patterns, current pressure, the nervous system underneath both.
Private intensives
From $950 half day
One to three days, one person, a plan built around you. For when you need real movement faster than an hour a week can give, or you can only step away once.
Couples and relationships
$225 per 50-minute session
For partners who are both smart and both stuck. Monogamous and consensually non-monogamous relationships are equally welcome here.
Mentorship for clinicians
$125 per 60-minute session
For therapists and clinical leaders who want someone who has run the room: building a practice, stepping into supervision, leading a team.
How I work
Beyond talk.
Trauma is the center of my work. I have advanced training in complex trauma. Talking helps, and there's also work that words don't reach. I'm trained in EMDR and the Flash Technique, and I use parts work and body-based practices alongside conversation, so the work includes your body and nervous system, not only your thoughts.
Every client leaves with one small practice, five minutes or less, to repeat daily. I'd rather you have a short thing you actually do than a long list you don't.
Who tends to do well here
- People with a trauma history, including complex or long-standing trauma, that gets louder when the pressure goes up
- Capable people who have always been the one holding it together, in any line of work
- People at a turning point: burnout that won't lift, a career or relationship ending, a late diagnosis
- Gifted and twice-exceptional adults, including late-identified ADHD and autism, who have been masking for years
- Therapists and other helpers who need a place to be the client
If you're in active crisis, or need something I can't safely offer, I'll help you find the right level of care.

"I've spent a lot of years sitting beside people on hard days. I know some of this from the inside, and I like it best in a small room."
I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a lot of leadership behind me: clinical supervisor, clinical director, and chief executive of a group practice. I started this practice to get back to the work I love most. More about me →
